Why are we here? Human beings have asked that question for generations. We pursue careers, build families, establish businesses, develop talents, acquire possessions, and work toward countless ambitions. Many of these things are valuable, but beneath them lies a deeper question: What did God create human beings for?
Scripture gives an answer that reaches beyond occupation, achievement, or personal success. Revelation 4:11 declares, “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.” Creation begins with God. If our existence begins with Him, then the ultimate meaning of our existence cannot be discovered apart from Him. We were created to know God, reflect Him, serve Him, glorify Him, and worship Him.
